Core Application Areas

1. Engineering Plastics (Largest application, accounting for approximately 45%)

Nylon 1212: Produced by polycondensation with dodecanediamine, with a tensile strength >80 MPa. Its low-temperature impact resistance (no embrittlement at -40℃) is superior to Nylon 11/12, used for automotive fuel lines and aerospace components.

Nylon 612: Copolymerized with hexamethylenediamine, featuring low water absorption (<1%), suitable for housings of precision electronic components.

2. High-end Lubricants and Additives

Aviation Lubricating Oil: Diesters synthesized with octanol (e.g., dioctyl dodecanedioate) can operate stably at -45~200℃, used in jet engines.

Metalworking Fluids: Sodium or amine salts act as rust inhibitors, forming a dense protective film in cutting fluids to prevent rusting of iron and steel.

3. Fragrances and Pharmaceutical Intermediates

Synthetic Musk: Cycloundecanone (cyclic product of dodecanedioic acid) is a key ingredient in artificial musk, used in perfumes and cosmetics.

Drug Carriers: Its polyester derivatives can serve as sustained-release drug carriers, improving the bioavailability of poorly soluble drugs.

4. Coatings and Adhesives

Powder Coatings: When compounded with epoxy resins, the cured product exhibits excellent weather resistance (salt spray test >1000 hours), used for the protection of outdoor steel structures.

Hot Melt Adhesives: Polyamide hot melt adhesives (PA) are used for garment interlinings, resistant to washing and dry cleaning, and capable of long-term use at 100℃.
